Watching Daybreak still makes me cry. Strangely, it also makes me want to write Voyager fanfiction. Go. Figure.

I have but one thing to say about BSG 4x18: Holy. Crap. Well, that and I recognized the music at the end from Exodus, Parts I + II, mainly because it totally makes me think of Hobbits and The Shire every damn time. Very disconcerting, that.

In other news, I may have a thing for Doctor Who now and the BF is to blame. He's got seasons one and two of I guess the New Who? Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor in any case (he's what, the ninth doctor?). Only drawback? He's got the dubbed version, although that is quite awesome which probably means that the undubbed original is nothing short of brilliant. I just love the British sense of humor. *eyes Hyperdrive*

More other news, my new wardrobe will be delivered this Thursday. Words can't express how much I'm looking forward to this. All my clothes, towels, linen, what have you are still in cardboard boxes and I'm so sick of seeing those every damn day.
caffey: ([bsg] wtf)
Yes, I'm a little late here. Still, I've got thoughts.

All kinds of thoughts. And speculation. )

Sucks to be up to date, occasionally. Is it Friday yet?
caffey: ([bsg] loves me)
Because I couldn't help myself and it was fun. Seeing as fun is in short supply for me at the moment, I seized the opportunity with arms wide open. Mostly Adama, Roslin, and Adama/Roslin, but I threw in one Six, one Starbuck, and one MM icon for good measure. Used screenshots up until 4x10 Revelations.

Teaser:

Lead the frakkin' way. )

All up for grabs. Credit would be nice.
caffey: ([bsg] crazy? me? you betcha.)
I'm rewatching BSG 2x06 - Home, Part I as I type this, and I've just noticed something that may or may not be incidental. It pertains to the series finale about which I know nothing except the title. Read at your own risk. )
caffey: ([misc] so weary)
Oh, yeah, that's right. I wasn't. *headdesk*

I wish I could say that'll teach me to stay up late to write fic, but that would be blatant lie. It's so much fun. I just could do without the hassle of braindeadedness (yes, it's a word -- now).

Have I mentioned yet how I've regressed back to my teenager years? Obviously this includes keeping ridiculous hours, procrastinating from sleep, and writing with a maniacal gleam in my eyes. This would scare me if I could bring myself to care about anything else but coffee right now.

*off to grab a shitload of coffee*

4x16 - Deadlock )
caffey: ([bsg] boom)
... is riddled with curiosities, apparently.

Have you ever wondered how come Galactica, or the Fleet in general, has a seemingly endless supply of paper? I have. It's like there are short on everything essential. But paper? That they've got in abundance.

Is it Friday yet?
caffey: ([bsg] belonging)
...before I'll move on to watching No Exit and thus be as up to date as I'll ever be.

Spoilery (for you, Maggie) question about the Cylons )

ETA: Oookay. What do I do now? Friday is still so far away. *wails*

Frak me

A Disquiet Follows My Soul? Frakkin' awesome from an A/R shipper's point of view. The muse is doing overtime already. This bodes rather well for the ficlet I owe you, [livejournal.com profile] ufp13.

For now, sleep though. I curbed the need to whine about my lack of sleep earlier so I'd better be going to bed now before I get started on the woe-is-me theme that's going through my head. Although how I'm supposed to do that with the sound of rain hitting the roof is beyond me. I'm not used to that kind of sound, it's not exactly soothing as far as I'm concerned. *sigh*

caffey: ([bsg] belonging)
Yeah. So nothing new there, really. I need to get up in five hours. I've known that all day. So why am I here watching BSG like there's no tomorrow? At the rate I'm going, I'll be current just in time for this week's episode.

4x06 - Faith )

Alas, time for bed now. Has been for the last three hours, actually. Will I ever learn? Probably not. Prepare to listen to me whine about severe lack of sleep tomorrow. Or today. Whatever. Later in any case.

caffey: ([bsg] belonging)
I guess I've officially become an A/R shipper. The inner fangirl squees every time, and I mean every time, Bill Adama and Laura Roslin get screen time. It's like I'm regressing to teenagerhood with all those newly found hormones multiplying at an insane rate. Luckily, I've got no objection.

Still not too fond of President Roslin, though I like the woman. If that makes any sense.

ETA: Oh yeah, and it's snowing again. *headdesk*

caffey: ([bsg] starbuck)
You know what? I'm beginning to understand why Roslin makes me want to rip my hair out occasionally. In which I ramble about the BSG season three finale. )

I hope season four rocks as much as season three does!
caffey: ([bsg] starbuck)
Can anyone explain to me why the cylons refer to themselves as the cylon while the humans call them the cylons? Or am I just hearing this wrong?
caffey: ([misc] suicidal lemming)
I've been ignoring the original mostly because I don't feel up to the task of being that creative. But then [livejournal.com profile] sira01 came up with a revised edition which in turn prompted [livejournal.com profile] shayenne to respond and post another revision. And crazy little me took her up on it, so I'm offering the same thing to you.

The first three people to respond to this post get a ficlet written by me, before the end of March (RL is a bitch and I can't guarantee that I'll make it in February). The ficlet will be 100 to 1000 words. You can ask for what you want within the following list. Any rating, slash, het, or friendship, you choose:

Star Trek: Voyager - No limitations. Yes, this includes C/7 if that is your wish. Though if you gonna make me write Neelix slash, I just might have to defriend you once I'm finished.

BSG - Nothing beyond episode 2x03 (Fragged) at this point. And please bear in mind that I've got no clue whatsoever if I can pull this off. The result might just suck 'cause I've got no experience writing BSG and I feel the only character I might actually have a real feel for yet is Starbuck. Attitudes 'R Us. Regardless, I'd be willing to give Adama/Roslin, Lee/Kara, and anything Baltar a go.

Wild Card - This means you can suggest something else (based on books, movies, other TV shows) for me to write. I reserve the right to decline if I don't think I can do it, though. You can choose again, from the above list, in that case.

If you respond, you must post a similar offer on your LJ. Feel free to revise as needed.

Tell me again why I'm doing this? Oh yeah, because the lovely [livejournal.com profile] shayenne is gonna write me Baltarfic! *does the dance of joy*

*yawns*

I hate it when the muse kicks in in the middle of the night and I can do squat about it. Now I'm tired like hell and don't even have anything to show for it. Thank God it's a short day at work. Anything else would likely kill me.

Also, the BF will be here later today. Unless I can convince him to watch the undubbed BSG version I've got, I'll have to cope without the show for two and a half days. But then, the BF will be around! I think we'll come up with something to do even if he doesn't like BSG. *g*
caffey: ([bsg] starbuck)
Apparently, I'm firmly in [livejournal.com profile] shayenne's corner when it comes to the character of Laura Roslin. Sometimes she makes me want to shake her until her teeth rattle. )

I'm having an insanely strong fangirl reaction here. I believe I'm not just officially in love with this show, I'm irrevocably in love with it. I mean the muse -- you know the one responsible for writing -- is actually sitting up and begging to get cracking. Not that she knows, precisely, what she wants but it involves Baltar, Head Six, and is headed right into NC-17 territory. *snorts* Like I've got time to write -- or a proper grasp on the characters, for that matter. Oh, and I need more BSG icons.

Guess that means I've got my work cut out for me, huh?
