...before I'll move on to watching No Exit and thus be as up to date as I'll ever be.

Are my maths skills rusty? Have I missed something? If there's only twelve Cylon models, how come Sharon is Number Eight? We know Number One through Six, Number Eight, and the Final Five. Assuming there's a Number Seven -- and really, there's got to be a Number Seven, Cylons wouldn't just skip a number -- that adds up to thirteen. So, what am I missing here?

ETA: Oookay. What do I do now? Friday is still so far away. *wails*

Yeah, but then, you're used to this by now. I've watched seasons one through four and a half in three weeks flat. This waiting is gonna need some getting used to.

*wails some more* *lol*

Your Cylon numbering question had perfect timing though!

The question has bothered me for a while now, mostly because I noticed how there were only seven Cylon models but they were numbered through to eight.

However, season four has really brought the question to the forefront of my mind. :P

I can't help but giggle that you asked this right before the episode most relevant to your question. *g*

And I don't feel sorry for your wait in the least. Try several Hiatuses of DoooOOOOoooom between seasons that are long enough to conceive, gestate, give birth, and start on another baby! ;P A week ain't nuthin'!

Although, um, yeah...IS IT FRIDAY YET?!

Of course you don't. I wouldn't either if I were in your shoes. *g* But, consider that I've been watching all these episodes, from the mini-series up to No Exit, in three weeks flat. Three weeks. That's one season per week, basically. And now try to imagine what waiting is currently doing to me. In other words, is it frakking Friday yet?! *headdesk*

Good catch! I'm embarrassed it didn't occur to me when I first heard that the Final Five didn't have numbers. You must have been pleased with the revelation in "No Exit". As I said at my forum, the whole "lost" number 7 thing reeks of backpedaling -- I'm betting the writers didn't notice this problem either until recently.

Took me a while to notice too, mostly because from the get-go we knew there were twelve Cylon models. When the Final Five were first mentioned, the rest had already been referred to as the seven models that are known (or at least I thought of them as such). Only when the fact that Sharon is Number Eight penetrated my mind did I realize the math was off. Must have been season three-ish, but I'm not sure. Watching basically all episodes in one go doesn't help me distinguish between seasons, much less separate one episode from the other.

Anyway. Gonna have to check out your forum and read up on the whole lost Number Seven angle while I'm waiting for the download of Deadlock to finish. Sucks to be here, occasionally. *sigh*

Ah, the marathon approach. I did that with Heroes' first season, and with the first half of BSG's fourth. It probably improved the viewing experience in both cases, but it's not something you can do a lot -- takes too much time, and if a show's still running, waiting for it to finish a story would take patience (and make it more likely you'd get spoiled).

You're always welcome at the forum, though I'm afraid you'll find it pretty quiet. Not updating in forever has that effect. But I'm working on it...
