I'll admit, it did take me a bit to warm up to DT. Early in S2 I thought he was too hyper for my tastes. But then he either calmed down a bit in late S2, or I got used to him. Now I really love his version.

I hope this will happen to me, too. At this point I feel like I can't bear to watch much more of his hyperactivity, but I haven't gotten very far yet. Still stuck at early season two because the BF forgot to bring the DVD's. Men.
That sounds a LOT like me. The first few episodes I wanted him to calm the hell down. :D
Thinking about it some more, I think he does settle into the role as the season goes on. Still intense and bouncy, but less spazzy. Could be because some more serious things start happening around mid-series, and so he does start getting into those quieter moments.
