BSG question

Can anyone explain to me why the cylons refer to themselves as the cylon while the humans call them the cylons? Or am I just hearing this wrong?

Honestly, I never even thought about it. I haven't even heard it. Not that I paid attention to that. Hmmph... but it would make sense in some way. At least the first seven models aren't meant to be unique, they are more or less meant to be copies of each other. Although the question of cylons and if they are unique, and how this works with memories and what and what will not be downloaded and what they know about the experiences of the other of their production line gives me a headache. *lol*
