What with all the hype about Twilight, I nearly missed that the release of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is imminent. My inner fangirl is squeeing like crazy right now.
My only issue is that there is no Kate. They've replaced her, though understandably so since her character wouldn't have a lot of place in that movie. It's also interesting that they've gone back to "ancient" times.
Of course, anyone who remembers the first movie will remember how this "should" end. Whether it actually ends that way or not will be interesting.
Now, why haven't you yet made me Kate in Leather/Rubber icons. JK! ;-)
Since Rise of the Lycans is a prequel to the other two movies, I can live with Kate's absence. Besides, I really do like Rhona Mitra so I'm looking forward to seeing her play the role of Sonja.
I hope it'll end the way we know it should. If it doesn't, it'll totally screw with the Underworld universe as we know it. I don't know that my inner fangirl could take that and still cheer. I doubt it.
Please. I'm in the process, trust me, joke or no. I've been itching to make Underworld icons ever since I stumbled across the trailer for Rise of the Lycans. Just need to go get my DVD's and cap the movies.
