Observations

I'm rewatching BSG 2x06 - Home, Part I as I type this, and I've just noticed something that may or may not be incidental. When Zarek and Meier talk about keeping Roslin safe but disposing of Apollo, about leading their fleet on the path of freedom, Meier says something that struck a cord within me. He says, "We are far from daylight, my friend." Foreshadowing or coincidence?

At this point they are far from Daylight, seeing as the series finale will come around about one and a half seasons later. I can't help but wonder if maybe the finale has always been supposed to be Daylight, no matter how many seasons we'd end up with.

Yes, I may be reading too much into this. But the thing is, when I watched this episode the first time around (about two weeks ago *coughs*), I didn't have a single clue about the series finale and yet this line struck me as odd even then.

It's the only way I can make sense of it now. They're orbiting Kobol as he says it; they're not far from daylight in any other way that I can see.
