Who thinks it's a brilliant idea to take an English movie title and replace it with yet another English movie title?

I've wasted the past fifteen minutes looking for a 90's movie featuring Nicolas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones that I innocently believed to be called Airborne because that's what it's called in Germany. The IMDB has since taught me it's called Fire Birds.

I may never understand the German dubbing industry.

Yeah. Or, Born 2 Die (original title: Cradle 2 the Grave). It's a popular concept, I just don't get why. *sigh*

I have a bootleg copy of Star Wars Episode Three from China, it's in English with English subtitles, but the name has been translated to: Star War, the Third Gathers Backstroke of the West (watching it is just too funy because most of the subtitles are wrong throughout the whole movie).
