Progress!

I feel like I've almost settled enough to actually get back to having something of a social life. It's been so long I'm just the tiniest bit scared.

Not having to deal with all household chores all the time definitely has its advantages. I've got a whole lot of time at this point which I'm still filling with doing things (mostly) directly related to moving. For one thing, I desperately need a new wardrobe. I didn't even take the old one when I moved which means I'm currently living out of cardboard boxes as far as clothes go. No fun 'cause I'm always looking for the thing that happens to be at the very bottom of the very last cardboard box. Murphy's law and all.

Also, I've got more stuff than I thought. I still haven't found a place for everything, although I'm certainly getting there. Living within spitting distance of the local IKEA doesn't help me much, however. There's very little I'd even consider buying from them; my trip last Wednesday was a total waste of time.

Aaaanyway. Please also consider this a reminder to post right here (comments are screened) if you want a Christmas card (well, seasonal card, rather) from me. I plan on sending them out this Wednesday, Dec 10.

BTW, I'll email my new address incl. phone number to the usual suspects as soon as I've got time and remember to do so.

(no subject)

I miss my computer. Even with no access to the Internet I could still do lots of stuff with it. Screen-capping comes to mind with Photoshopping as a close second.

"The Swarm" by Frank Schaetzing is, like, whoa. So glad I bought it, even if it was in English.

Still on the hunt for a permanent place that is all mine. Next appointment: today at 6:30 pm. Wish me luck!

The boyfriend is coming over this weekend instead of me going to his place. Should be interesting. He's already said he wants to go shopping. Well, we'll see about that...

I hate the weather. Hateithateithateit.

Every time I go grocery shopping, I buy yet another gadget that I didn't have previously. At the rate I'm going, I'll have nearly as much stuff to move from here to coming permanent place as I do from Berlin.

Not missing Berlin at all. The quiet here is divine.

I don't want to see, let alone pay, my coming mobile phone bill. It's going to be horrendously high.

Can I go to sleep now?
